As many of you know, Tara-Leigh Cobble (aka "TLC"), D-Group Founder + Leader, was born with a few major heart defects (more info listed below). A team of cardiac specialists has determined that she needs to undergo a series of heart surgeries to repair (or possibly replace) her aortic valve and repair some of the other major issues. We're sharing the details of TLC's surgery below.

For regular updates, more information, and giving, please visit TLC's YouCaring page: youcaring.com/TLCHeartFund.

TLC's main surgery will be an open heart surgery involving two cardiac surgeons and one cardiologist. The surgery is scheduled for Thursday, September 29 at 7:30am (central time). She'll be at Heart Hospital Baylor Plano for ~7 days, then recovering at an aftercare location for approximately 4-6 weeks. Her parents and sister Sonya will be flying in from Greeneville, TN, to be with her during her weeklong stay in the hospital.

The doctors have estimated the overall cost to be in the range of $500,000. Fortunately, TLC does have insurance, but it does not cover the entire cost of the surgeries, nor the vast expenses associated with these surgeries, the preliminary testing, rehab/recovery, and follow-up testing. We're aiming to raise 10% of the costs, hoping that will cover the bulk of what she will personally encounter.

We're grateful for any contribution you can make to help TLC with these expenses. If you know TLC, you know she believes every detail matters. So even if you can give $1, it matters. And even if you're not led to give but are called to pray for her and her family during this time, it matters. Thank you for being a part of what God is doing in and through her life!
